Electromagnetic strip for bumpers

The electromagnetic band is an ideal complement for the bumper, since it emits a vehicle stop alarm 80cm from the obstacle to be overcome.

The electromagnetic strip must be folded inside the bumper, on a plastic part at least 3 cm wide (max. length 2.2m)

The gluing surface must be completely free of metal parts or roughness (reinforcement, deformation, etc.), which could interfere with the correct operation of your parking sensor.

For optimal installation, we recommend removing the bumper. However, if you can get to the inside of the bumper, get under the vehicle and use a flashlight to see where the EMF will hit.

In any case, we recommend that you clean the internal face perfectly so that the electromagnetic strip is well adhered.

Look to the right or left of the bumper for a cable grommet or a hole to insert the connection cable of the electromagnetic band and connect it to the control unit. If it is not accessible or there is none, please drill a 10mm diameter hole to pass this connection cable. The black wire must not be in contact with metal in any way.

This product includes a cable gland plug. Place this grommet plug around the EMF cable and insert the plug into the drilled hole.

Locate the band along the inside face of the bumper to verify that you have chosen the optimal position. On the connector side, remove 10cm of the adhesive protection and tape that 10cm of band. Repeat this operation by sections of 10cm each time. Do not remove all the adhesive backing at once because the band could stick anywhere and the adhesive would deteriorate if you had to move it. There should be no metallic element within 3 cm of the band.

The electromagnetic strip must not stick to the corners of the bumper and must not be rolled up. The front of the band should be glued as flat as possible. It is necessary to cut the excess of the band.
