Dekalin Dekaseal 8936 black 310 ml

Dekaseal 8936 is a high quality, permanently tacky sealing compound designed for OEM/professional use. The areas of use and application are diverse and can be expanded as required.

To date, Dekaseal 8936 has been used in the construction of buses, caravans, motor homes, commercial vehicles and even trains.

The sealant should always be applied between a mechanical connection.

Substrates: ABS, aluminum, sheet metal, wood, paints, OMMA, PMMA, plywood, etc.

Sealing of: Decking battens, drains, superstructures, drill holes, roof structures, manholes and openings, rubber - glass connections, flaps, pipes, holes, decorative moldings, etc.

Installation of: Windows, skylight domes, etc. in the construction of caravans, wagons, containers.

Resistant, among other things,to:Water, road salt, weather influences.

Correct application:

The sealant can be applied with a hand or compressed air gun (2-3 bar required).

The substrate must be clean, dry and free of grease. Excess material can be removed with a cloth after installation without leaving residues.

The sealer remains slightly tacky after drying, but is odorless and compatible with paint.

Technical Data:

Dekaseal 8936 is not paintable.

Base material : Polyisobutene, synthetic resins, fillers and solvents

Very low water vapor permeability (0.1-0.2 grams/day/m²).

Open time (20°C/50% rel. LF) : approx. 3 hours

Solids content (DIN 53216, 3 hours at 120°C): approx. 89%, depending on color

Viscosity (20°C, flowmeter, 49ml, 2bar, 4 mm nozzle): approx. 40 seconds, depending on color

Temperature resistance : -30°C to +100°C (-4°F to +100°C)

Application temperature: +5°C to +35°C (+5°C to +35°C)

Resistance to UV rays and weathering : excellent
