Resin repair kit Miarco Brico 250g.
Used to repair and reshape metal plates, glass fiber panels, cement, wood and rigid plastics. It is also used to reinforce corroded parts and repair holes, using fiberglass sheets as resin support.

Step by step:
1st Surface preparation:
The surface to repair has to be clean of fat, oxide, dust and any dirt, so you have to clean it well. Therefore, with a rag impregnated in universal solvent, the surface on which we will apply the mask is well cleaned.
- The advantage that the solvent has, in addition to starting the dirt very well, is that, as it is of rapid evaporation, it dries at the moment.
2nd Preparing the polyester mask:
The advantage of the MIARCO BRICO repair kit is that it brings everything you need to make repairs quickly and cleanly.
- First we cut the fiberglass mesh. We must take into account, cut a piece that stands out from the area to repair, a couple of centimeters approximately. This mesh is easily cut with normal scissors or a cuter.
- Then, in a container we see the approximate amount of polyester we will need, as well as the catalyst. The latter must be mixed at a rate of 3 per cent. No special meter is required. As the polyester container is small, of 250 gr., if we use the third part, for example, we also throw the third part of the catalyst boat.
- And we remove well with the help of the mixer stick. This mixture will be made when we have everything prepared, just before your application, since it is quick-spring.
3rd Product application:
With the brush, we apply a thin layer of resin on the basis to repair. Then we deposit the fiberglass mesh, and apply resin again, soaking it. We should not move the brush as if we were painting, since we would move the mesh, decollecting it. Instead, we must do it by pressure.
This phase would already be completed, in case of a single layer of mesh. In case of putting several layers, we must repeat the operation the desired times. In my case, I applied two layers of fiberglass.
- The total friction of the resin is reached at 60 minutes, therefore we allow this time to pass.
4th End of repair:
Once the resin is hardened, we will proceed to trim the fiberglass mesh that can excel on any side. Then we give a sandy hand to get the desired look, and we remove the powder that is produced by sanding effect.
If you look very much, and you intend to leave it “invisible”, you can give a layer of paint, remaining as new.
